Employees and their Family members

 

Supporting Employees in their Educational Endeavors: Employees of the small businesses, major corporations, and government agencies that we serve are, of course, our primary focus. When we help employees further their education, we are helping prepare them to accept greater responsibilities within the workforce, helping provide the foundation upon which future leaders and managers are made. (See the Learn to Lead page on this site.) We welcome the opportunity to offer our free support the employees of your organization, regardless of whether you are a small business, large corporation, a federal, state or local government agency, or a military installation. We even provide support to congregations of churches that desire to help their parishioners be better equipped to compete in the world of work.

Supporting Family Members of Employees in their Educational Endeavors: Although most of the organizations that we serve do not provide tuition benefits or other monetary support for most family members of federal employees, they can take advantage of the free support offered through this initiative, including degree exploration with DegreeQuest ®, access to the student support website, SOCRATES, and our informative online seminar, Strategic Education Planning: Accelerated Paths to Degree Completion. When we take care of family members, we are taking care of the employees as well, when you consider how much their family members mean to them personally. That is another reason why this is considered a Quality of Life initiative. Some ask is this support limited to spouses or domestic partners? Not at all. We have provided support to many college-aged children of employees and, in some cases, even parents of younger employees. Employees are most appreciative of the willingness of us to provide support to their family members at no cost to them.

Supporting Retirees and Their Family Members in their Educational Endeavors: Those who dedicated much of their lives working for the organizations that we serve can rest assured that they are not forgotten when they retire. Many retired employees go on to seek other employment after their retirement and educational advancement can positively impact the opportunities for which they are qualified to seek. Their family members, especially their children, are often reaching the age when they will be going to colleges when the employees retire. They, too, are welcome to receive our support..
