Using Nationally-Recognized College Level Examinations to Help Earn a Degree Quickly & Cost-Effectively.

Save Time, Save Money, Earn a Degree Quickly Using College Level Examinations!

One of our participating colleges coined the slogan that says, "It doesn't matter how you learned what you learned that counts; What really matters is that you learned what you learned that counts." Many adult learners have challenged college level examinations to get college credit for what they have learned through life experience, while others have chosen to study the subjects prior to taking the tests. More than 2,900 colleges and universities across the nation award credit for college level examinations. In fact, each of our participating colleges and universities are willing to award college credit by examination.

How do you get the knowledge that you need to pass these examinations? There are thousands of tuition-free courses linked to our student support website, SOCRATES, from many of the best universities in the nation. This, too, is free for those who use our support.

Types of Examinations

There are several types of college level examinations: CLEP Examinations offered by the College Board have been around for more than four decades - Military members (active duty and reserves) can take these exams free of charge at their Education Center. Similarly, the DOD covers the cost for DSST Examinations, however, these are not just for the DOD. Anyone can take either CLEP or DSST exams at a low cost of only $80 per subject. There are also exams created by accredited colleges, such as Excelsior College Examinations and UExcel Examinations, most of which cost $95 (some are higher), as well as the Thomas Edison State College Examination Program (TECEP), which cost $108 per exam. The good news is that the VA can cover the cost of these exams for veterans, as well as tuition benefits can be used to cover the cost for those who have educational benefits from the corporation or government agency in which they are employed. Think of how far tuition benefits can be stretched using college credit by examinations. Even the IRS, with the $1,000 a year they offer their civil service employees, could earn credit for a dozen courses a year using this support!
